Museum Announce Memorial Fund

The Doukhobor Village Museum is pleased to announce the Christine Faminoff Memorial Fund. The capital for this fund was provided by a bequest from the estate of the late Mary Faminoff who provided the sum to be set up as a memorial in her daughter’s name, well known and dedicated guide at the Doukhobor Village Museum for most of her life.

In addition to this amount, the Doukhobor Village Museum has entered into a partnership with the Vancouver Foundation, which has generously matched the original amount. Yearly proceeds from the Vancouver Foundation investment program will provide continuing support for the Doukhobor Village Museum.

Our members and board would like to express our deep appreciation to the Mary Faminoff estate and to the Vancouver Foundation for making this possible.

This initiative will be a lasting legacy for a well-loved, respected and tireless worker for the museum, Christine Faminoff, and will add to the already indelible contribution she has made by her service here.
