With the opening date of April 30th rapidly approaching,
last minute preparations are underway at the Doukhobor Discovery Centre.
A highway information sign is being developed, The Village Bistro is preparing
to open, and a program for 2:00 Sunday is underway.

Jim Abbot, MP, will be the official dignitary and local civic and provincial officials will be in attendance. The Vision of Peace Youth Choir will be present as well as Doukhobor historian Eli Popoff from Grand Forks, who will speak on the theme of this year's major exhibit, the rise and fall of The Christian Community of Universal Brotherhood, at one time the largest communal enterprise in North America. |
The public is cordially invited to come and join this AGM / opening of the Museum for the 2006 season.
